1. Warm, elegant and contemporary

Louisa Morgan, Creative Director at Mandarin Stone, writes: “Neutral, warm tones are the ideal foil for rich reds and oranges this season. Pair with linen & black tones, whether that’s fabrics or tiles or both, for a modern yet sophisticated scheme.”

Our contemporary burnt orange, Caravan, is a superb accent colour to add depth and vibrancy to a neutral colour palette. It harmonises beautifully with the red-based Leather Architectural Colours, alongside a mix of natural tiles and statement monochrome details.

Featured tiles: Outline White/Black Matt Linear Decor Ceramic, Bayonne Provence Limestone

2. Inviting, rich and restful

Louisa writes: “The most calming soft shades against tiles which add warmth and timeless character. From eye-catching terracotta picket tiles to tumbled marbles and terrazzo.”

Yellow-based hues deliver an inviting blend of optimism and warmth. Embrace uplifting colours like Morning Room and Cashmere II to bring a beautiful, soft brightness to your scheme, and complement with rich, sumptuous colours like Caddie and Scarlet ‘n’ Rust for added luxury.

Featured tiles: Lyon Tumbled Limestone, Maison Bella Porcelain, Terrazzo Nouveau Ivory Matt Porcelain, Rosa Perlino Tumbled Marble, Valencia Terra Porcelain Picket

3. Tranquil, natural and modern

Louisa writes: “Bring the outside in with grounding, back-to-nature, jungle and forest hues. The gloss green tiles create eclectic vibes and bounce the light, whilst the matt green tiles create a stylish, modern feel.”

Combining several different green shades within one scheme is a great way to evoke the natural environment, creating a layered, textural feel with real design interest. Introduce a fresh, clean white like Fuji to benefit from a touch of colour contrast.

Featured tiles: Oska Jungle Green Matt Porcelain, Zellige 2022 Tropical Green Gloss Ceramic, Zellige 2022 Ivory Gloss Ceramic, Hoxton Bottle Green Gloss Porcelain

4. Soft, soothing and neutral

Louisa writes: “The perfect mushroom and truffle tones balanced against light neutrals make for the ideal palette. The subtle texture of the tiles adds just enough character and interest.”

Truffle is a warm, traditional taupe that provides the perfect soft and comforting background colour to achieve a truly soothing ambience in your kitchen or bathroom. Incorporate tonal neutrals like Sand IV, Thames Mud and Bronze – alongside coordinating tiles – for a harmonious finish.

Featured tiles: Dijon Provence Limestone, Kobi Ivory Satin Porcelain, Hoxton Olive Gloss Porcelain

5. Coastal, fresh and calming

Louisa writes: “Create a coastal feel with a blend of light airy shades of blue, pale green and grey. Add a little drama with a floral tile or textural blue glazed brick tiles.”

The Paint & Paper Library palette encompasses a host of beautiful blue shades. They can work wonderfully in combination to infuse an interior with an atmosphere of calm and serenity. Combine your chosen blues with patterned tiles to bring added design personality to your scheme.

Featured tiles: Kobi Duck Egg Blue Satin Porcelain, Alba Azura Gloss Ceramic, Eden Delft Gloss Ceramic, Carrara Tumbled Marble

6. Alluring, sumptuous and warm

Louisa writes: “This season’s neutrals come with a warm earthy twist, where taupe marbles and terracotta tones can be mixed to conjure up an inviting, artisan feel.”

Rich, earthy pinks and sumptuous browns have an undeniable allure. Their soft, natural hues feel comfortable in the home, whilst they also offer an inherent luxury and opulence, enriched by the addition of terracotta, patterned tiles.
